Jamaiaca Bridal Expo
In 2012 the inaugural Jamaica Bridal Expo was held in Montego Bay as the premier event to showcase Jamaica as the top location in the destination wedding industry. Since then, The Jamaica Bridal Expo has grown considerably from expanding the number of vendors to adding the expertise of celebrity guest and star of TLC’s Brides of Beverly Hills, Renée Strauss in 2013.
In 2014 we began our campaign with a “Jamaica’s Happily Ever After” sweepstakes in partnership with Brides Magazine, where Over 8000 brides entered and 10 lucky couples won a chance to come to Jamaica to attend the expo and plan their Jamaican wedding and honeymoon. Concurrently, local couples could enter to win a wedding worth over $1.5 million (Jamaican dollars) with the “Moet Memorable Moment” which took take place live on the first day of the expo.
As a prelude to the expo, a conference was held where wedding professionals had the opportunity to register and consult with both local and international industry experts. These included the likes of Keija Minor, Editor in Chief of Brides (www.Brides.com), Dr. Paulette Hossman-CEO of Tai Flora and Tom Curtin, Director – Sales and Marketing at Honeymoons.com. Over the year attendees have enjoyed a wide selection of vendors and entertainment activities. Many exhibitors experienced highly enthusiastic Travel Agents, Brides and couples who sought their services. It was a very productive experience for all involved.
